Religious Education

Grades K-5

Religious Education (RE) is a parish ministry for children who do not attend St. Therese School to receive their religious instruction. It is for grades Kindergarten through 5th. RE meets Wednesdays from 6:00-7:15 PM beginning in September and ending in May.

RE uses Gospel Weeklies by Pflaum Publishing for our curriculum, which includes a weekly lesson about the upcoming gospel reading along with a child-friendly catechism handbook called What the Church Believes and Teaches.

Children in grade 2 (must be registered in St. Therese School or Religious Education program) will prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Families will also be involved in the preparation process at home.

BIBLE Study (New Program)

Upper Elementary/Middle School (Grade 4 -8)

St. Therese has a brand new offering this year for 4th-8th grade students who want to learn more about our faith by diving into Sacred Scripture! We will be hosting two 6-week Bible Studies (one in November/December and one in January/February) for any students in these grades, from St. Therese School OR from any other area school.

This Bible Study will meet on Tuesday nights from 6:00-7:15 in the 3rd Floor area of the EEC (near the Youth Room and the CGS atrium). Since this program will be held on Tuesday evenings, your child would be welcome to also enroll in RE or Young Church on Wednesday evenings! Students may enroll in one Bible Study session or both.
