live, pray, and grow in
their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Religious Education 1st - 5th grade
Religious Education (RE) is a ministry for children who do not attend St. Therese School to receive their religious instruction. RE is for children in grades 1-5.
RE meets on Wednesdays from 6:00 pm -- 7:15 pm beginning the Wednesday after Labor Day through the first Wednesday in May.
Sunday School pre K & Kindergarten
Sunday School meets during the 10:00am Mass from early October through the end of April.
The curriculum is based on the Sunday Gospel. Sunday School is for children ages Pre-K (4 by August 1) and Kindergarten (5 by August 1).
Sacrament Preparation Reconciliation * Eucharist * Confirmation
Children in grade 2 (must be registered in St. Therese School or Religious Education program) will prepare for the sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Parents must attend a meeting in late September/early October and again in January. The sacrament of Reconciliation is typically celebrated during the Advent Season and the sacrament of Eucharist is celebrated during the Easter season.
If a child is older then 2nd grade, they can prepare for the sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist also. Contact Jennifer Davis for more details. firstname.lastname@example.org or 816-741-5400 ext 107

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd ages 3-6
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is faith formation for children ages 3 through 6. Believing that children have an inherent religious potential and a desire for relationship with God, CGS presents Scripture and Catholic Liturgy using Montessori educational principles to provide children with a rich experience of our faith’s essential truths in a prepared environment called an atrium.
St. Therese offers Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to any child who is a minimum age 3 by Aug. 1 of the enrolling school year. It will be offered this year on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30 - 11:30 am.
CGS begins August 21st with shortened sessions the first three weeks. It’s vitally important that the children attend these first sessions because they help set the rhythm and tone for the entire year.
