St. Therese of Lisieux
St. Therese of the child Jesus -- also known as St. Therese of Lisieux and the Little Flower -- was born Marie-Francoise-Therese Martin in Alencon, France on January 1873.
From her earliest years, Therese wanted all that life would offer.
Therese also had dreams of greatness. We might have dreams of being a rock star, movie star, a sports star, or maybe the President, but especially after her sister Pauline went to the convent, Therese wanted to follow her. She didn't just want to be good, she wanted to be a saint.
